Hi All,
In this game we got to use the other half of our gang. All of the short range, non leader types. It ended up being a 4 player game. Tim, Ryder, Trevor and Aidan battled it out on the streets of the upper hive while I randomly moved civilians and robots. The cops I moved a little more purposefully.
Anyway, the gist of the scenario was that a guilder had some data that was worth a kings ransom. Each gang had a hacker to help extract the data and do various hackery things to help reduce alarm levels etc.
Running past civs, shooting and various gang like things would raise the alarm level. Once it got to six bad things would happen.
Here's how it unfolded.
So all the gangs failed. In the post mortem it was discussed that the first half was meant to be more stealthy until the data was retrieved, then all hell would break loose and a mad dash to get out would ensue. Most of the players tried the mad dash to get in.
I also want to take the time to say how great the table was that Mario put together. Lovingly detailed MDF buildings with all kinds of eye candy and nods to cool geeky things. It was a feast for the eye before the figures were even added.
It has really tempted me to buy some more building kits, even though my lizard brain tells me I have to scratch build everything.
Hope you enjoyed the comic. Next up is my game against Lasgunpacker.
Thanks for looking.

Kublacon 2018 - Axles & Alloys 3000
Hi All,
Next game of the weekend was Axles & Alloys a tweak of a rule set you may already know. It was a blast to play and possibly my son's favorite game of the weekend. No stress about his rolls, just white knuckle driving and screaming "I will see you at the gates of Valhalla! All shiny and Chrome!" Or something like that.
This one is more of just a play by play.
Enjoy.
It appears in my excitement I forgot to number page 4. Oh well.
I'd like to welcome Tim and Don Bailey to the blog. Blogger doesn't seem to show if you guys have a blog. If you do, I'd be happy to link to it. Thanks for following.
I'll probably do a Paint Table Saturday post next and then finish up with the last game of the con and the game I played with Lasgunpacker.
Thanks for looking.

Kublacon 2018 - Breaking Lances
Hi All,
No comic for this one. The game is so fast paced there isn't really time to take any photos if you're playing. I eked out a one point win in my first match and tied in my second. In the second round I rematched the person I tied and they destroyed me.
Then I got to try the foot combat.
You can see more photos on the Skull & Crown blog here.
Looking forward to the release of this game.
I'd like to welcome Merijn Gelens-Voermans to the blog. Your name seems very familiar and we follow a lot of the same blogs. I'm drawing a blank on your blog right now though.
Thanks for looking everyone.

Kublacon 2018 - Necromunda: Showdown in the Underhive
Hi All,
This was the big, evening, Necromunda game put on by Clark. As you can see the terrain is fantastic, I really like playing on his table. In all there were eight gangs. Aidan and I actually got to run our own gangs this year. He had the Bone Crushers of House Orlock and I re ran a slightly more legit version of my Genestealer Cult, The Children of the Comet. I still need to work out a better list or play a more legit gang. This list is still a tad wonky.
Anyhow, there was a lot of carnage all along the table, but I was only really able to focus at our end. Each turn we drew cards for activation. I like that mechanic.
On with the comic.

So there you have it. The boy had to go to bed at 11pm, his mother was firm on that, and I bottled not long after that. So I was done by about 12:30am. The game went on until about 1:30am this time, I heard. Very enjoyable, I feel very lucky that the group has been so inviting to my son and I. It's also nice that they focus on killing each other and mostly leave us alone.
Thanks for looking.

Kublacon 2018 - Mordheim
Hi All,
This one is the game of Mordheim we played, a massive 4 on 4 battle with all the war bands supplied.
I decided to stick with the saturated look for these pictures as well. I'm not sure if it makes them too warm for the grim dark aesthetic of Mordheim. C & C appreciated on that aspect.
Enjoy!
Mordheim is a fun but tough game. I hope my son took the lesson that you can enjoy a game for its memorable moments, not whether you just won or not.
I'd also like to welcome Spevna to the blog. His blog Spevna Studio has some of his great artwork and thoughts on the hobby. I also need to remember to add him to the Combat Burger list.

Kublacon 2018 - The Battle of Woodenstadt
Hi All,
This game was with the dapper Mr. Thomas Foss of Skull & Crown. As always a fun game and a feast for the eye with lots of colorful wooden toy soldiers. I really enjoyed the command rolls, except for when I failed them, and the system worked pretty well.
I went for a saturated look on the pictures again to pump up the riot of color. It's a longer comic, as I wanted to keep the table views of formations on the march.
Hope you like it.
(All the names and most of the scenario were explained by Thomas. My names and story are a sad recreation of whatever it was he actually told us.)

Kublacon 2018 - Space Hulk (Cleanse & Burn: Space Marines)
Hi All,
Super busy with travelling and celebrating my brother's birthday. So I'm a little behind on writing and posting reports.
I did manage to get in both a WFRP session and a game of Shadow War with Lasgunpacker yesterday, but it's going to take me awhile to get to those.
So on to the battle report. This was our second game of Space Hulk on Friday, we swapped and played the Space Marines.
(Don't forget, you can right click on the images and open them in a new tab to see them in full size.)
Thanks for looking. I believe the next report will be The Battle of Woodenstadt, if we're going chronologically.

Kublacon 2018 - Space Hulk (Cleanse & Burn: Genestealers)
Hi All,
Two days, two reports!? I must have a lot of time on my hands. I forgot to mention, all of my photos were taken on my cellphone this year. The Space Hulk and Woodenstadt photos were edited on my phone using snap seed. The Mordheim, Necromunda and Axles & Alloys photos were all done on my computer using Light Room. Scrolling through photos on the phone to edit them was a pain. Perhaps organizing them into Albums first would be the way to go, but honestly file organization is much easier on the computer.
On to the report.
I'm experimenting with a more saturated style. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.
