Kublacon 2018 - Space Hulk (Cleanse & Burn: Space Marines)

Hi All,

Super busy with travelling and celebrating my brother's birthday. So I'm a little behind on writing and posting reports.

I did manage to get in both a WFRP session and a game of Shadow War with Lasgunpacker yesterday, but it's going to take me awhile to get to those.

So on to the battle report. This was our second game of Space Hulk on Friday, we swapped and played the Space Marines.

(Don't forget, you can right click on the images and open them in a new tab to see them in full size.)

Thanks for looking. I believe the next report will be The Battle of Woodenstadt, if we're going chronologically.

  1. Haven't played Space Hulk in years. Still looks as good as ever.

    1. Hi Lee, yes it is still fun. The new set has some issues with the models being a bit too bulky to fit the board spaces though.

  2. Still one of the best ganmes to come from GW, simple inetersting rules and easy gameplay.

    1. Thanks Airborne, the only problem with it is that it makes me realize I don't have enough genestealers.

  4. The comic - I mean graphic novel - approach to narrative looks great. I've never played Space Hulk, but did play a Space Crusade Campaign, once. I had the Imperial Fist unit, with a similar force of Ultramarines in a series of combats clearing cyborgs and similar nasties from assorted space derelicts.

The first action went badly. After clearing one room and a length of corridor, we came under heavy attack, I barely made it back to the shuttle, alone and bleeding from several wounds. The Ultramarine did as badly, and I don't think even cleared a single room.

After that, we went from success to success, with never a further setback to blemish our arms.

    1. Sounds epic Archduke Piccolo. I never played Space Crusade, but I like the idea of having different "monsters" to fight. I suppose there's nothing stopping one from throwing Ork and Eldar models into the corridors of a Hulk.
