Well, although I've been sitting on it for awhile, now might be the time to tell you all about some recent things I received from Two Hour Wargames.
As you may recall, as my first venture into crowd funding, I supported the indiegogo for High Rise to Hell. I opted for the rules and cards only option as I don't game in 15mm. (He said trying to resist the urge to buy full armies in 15mm).
With my pledge I received a PDF of the rules, the City card deck, and the Risk and Rewards card deck. These are designed as game aids to get you up and running fast. Need a city block? Deal out some cards and the streets will become full of offices, shops and bars. Need a rural area? Deal out fewer cards. Need to know what's in the building? Deal a risk and reward card. It'll tell you how many zombies and if there are any other people in there who want your stuff, plus whatever loot is in there.
These cards also offer a way to play with just the cards and minis or tokens. Now I can take ATZ on the road and play with my brother when we get together for the holidays without chipping and breaking all my figures. (Wow that just occurred to me as I wrote it).
I also pulled the trigger on some more spaceship figures that Ed was selling from his personal horde. I take it that he gathers things together to play test rules he is working on and then sells them when he is done. I thought it was a good opportunity to bootstrap my fleet situation for both Star Navy and Fighter command since I have been so lame about getting those ships I won from Doug painted. (Sorry Doug).
On the Talomir front I have been progressing, albeit slowly. All of the Romans have received their flesh color and I began on the Egyptians using some Raw Sienna, which looks okay. The main concern with using earth tones is that I don't start making them look like they're made out of boot leather or whatever I normally use to paint belts and scabbards.
I mentioned that I had run out of washers, my preferred base, and I was struggling with what to do about basing the chariots. I've invested in a Galvanized roof shingle 64¢ and a pair of tin snips for ~$12. The shingle is thinner than a washer but will stick to magnets, which is part of my basing system idea. I'll let you know how it turns out and if I slice myself open with sheet metal.
You should also all be aware of Ian's giveaway on The blog with no name. Register your entry here. I'm gunning for the Rosemary & Co. brushes, but so are a lot of people.
I also backed my first Kickstarter. It's a book for helping run solo adventures called "The Covetous Poet's Adventure Creator and Solo GM Guidebook" you can find it here. Five days to go, check it out.
I've suffered a minor setback in my quest to dominate the fat loss competition. It appears the scale they were using was off so I haven't lost as much body fat as I thought. Grrr! Oh well, got to knuckle down.

Some layout changes
So I decided, in an attempt to make the blog a little bit more user friendly that I would change the format.
Of course in the process it wiped out my background etc. So... I'll be puttering around here in the coming days fixing things back up.
Hopefully this format (Sidebar) will be the best of both worlds. People will be able to comment easily and still be able to see a list of other posts that they may be interested in.
As always you can select the view that you like the best in the upper left of the menu bar.
Also make sure to get in on the ATZ-FFO crowdfunding. Three days left to go and only $242 left to reach the stretch goal of 6 extra 15mm figures. While I did pledge I am not eligible for the stretch goals, I'd just hate to see people miss out when it's so close.
Also thanks to Armand who posts on TMP for linking to my previous post. I should probably post links on TMP more as it really increases traffic. I got 1224 hits in one day, which I think is the most ever. The only down side is I may be getting a rep as that guy who is obsessed with boobs in gaming.
Big stuff in the works in the next few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled.

10 days left for All Things Zombie - Final Fade Out (ATZ-FFO) Indiegogo
If you are a 15mm Zombie gamer you should not let this one pass you by.
Two Hour Wargames is doing a crowd funding of a project for minis and supplements to ATZ-FFO that has only 10 Days and $155 to go. You can find it here.
Full disclosure, I bought in to the $40 - But I play 28mm! Any Help? This option includes the two card decks and the scenario PDF for those of us who don't use 15mm.
If you want to see examples of ATZ-FFO game play you can't go wrong with Colgar6 or Vampifan. There are a host of others as well, but these are the two that leap to my mind.
In short, make a pledge so I can get my damn cards! ;)
Also THW has just released their new Pirate rules "And a Bottle of Rum". I so want to buy these, but the guilt of having a stack of unread THW titles is causing me to hold back. Also a lack of terrain or figures at the moment.
However the blog is having a birthday later this month so maybe thar be some pirate booty in the offing, yar!

Anticipation...
or a watched hit counter never reaches 10,000.
Some of you may remember when Heinz ketchup used the Carly Simon song in an add.
So since I can't wait by not posting anything I'll tell you what will be happening once I reach 10K. To celebrate this milestone, and in honor of what some are calling Zomtober, I will be giving away a copy of Two Hour Wargames latest release: All Things Zombie - Final Fade Out (ATZ - FFO).
This is an update of their top selling Zombie skirmish game with all the newest rule mechanics etc. You may have read about on Vampifan's blog here, or Colgar6's here.
I am very excited about this title myself, and the only reason I have not bought it already is the massive shame and guilt I feel at still not having played all the other titles I own. And realistically I don't have any models made up.
Oh and if you do a search for Zomtober you may find something silly like this:
Silliness! So while I twiddle my thumbs waiting for the interwebs to take notice of my littleslice o' the net and wait for Battle Cry to come in the mail I wish you all happy gaming.

Silly Quiz
Following in the footsteps of Shelldrake I took the gamequitsu zombie quiz and got this result.
Longer than I'd thought. I'll have to test it out in a game of All Things Zombie.

Painted Zombies!!!
In a comment on my last post Dan had asked about what those zombies might look like painted up. I found some mixed in to the horde from this ATZ game.
You can see the male zombie clearly interspersed with the 28mm figs. I think they blend in pretty well at 28mm if a little spindly by comparison. Like I said, a tad large for 1/72 but would work in a pinch.
By the way that game looked like a lot of fun. I am totally on board with letting characters jump back in after getting killed. There is no end to the zombie horde, so why not let people keep on swinging away.
