Rifles & Rebels

Two Hours Wargames new title, Rifles & Rebels came out a couple of days ago. So of course I had to get it. You can get it here.

I know, I shouldn't start a new period before I've even played a game of any of the others, but I couldn't help it. I am thinking of focusing on Italeri and Imex figures, trying to do more research and stick with figures that are 24mm tall. I can get some Billy V Imex sets locally, but can't seem to find a review of them on PSR.

I'm going to try and play this straight, but in the future I'm looking to dust off "The Civil War" by Victory Games and use it to set up the scenario for table top battles. Although Fire & Fury might be better for that endevor.

Welcome to ghalgor, his blog is Pairadice Saloon which is wide ranging. The last three posts go from 15mm Vietnam terrain to 15mm Napoleonic British to 40K. I particularly like the Vietnam terrain. I still can't come to grips with wargaming Vietnam just yet, although I do have Vietnam 1965 - 1975.

I think I may have some kind of condition. Anyway, some progress on the Fantasy/Medieval/Dark Age front. I finally bought a sprue cutter and have set up seven Saxon Fyrd units. Just need to clean them up a bit.

Have a Happy Easter!

  2. I've been looking at this game. I know what you mean about not playing a new period before even playing a game of the others. I got Long Rifle a little while ago, and still haven't done anything with it yet. Now I'm thinking of getting Rifles and Rebels. I'll be interested in seeing how you like it.
