Hi All,
Quick one before heading out the door.
Some issues with the craft paint on the cloak. I'm using mid, wash with shade, reapply mid technique. I've also used some glaze medium on the cloak.
Coming along. My hope is to be able to take it into the store and buy the next figure on the 21st.
Looking good Sean !
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the finished model !
Soda Pop Miniatures has fantastic miniatures ! Have them too :)
Greetings
Thanks Mario. Chibi is not something I would have gone for myself, but it is a fun model. It's also good to branch out and paint something you wouldn't have thought of yourself once in awhile.
DeleteThat is seriously good fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael, definitely not something to take too seriously or fret about.
DeleteI really like the chibi style too. I think it emphasizes what we gamers mostly see of our miniatures from our lofty purchase: the head.
ReplyDeleteHi Dale. It's not really my cup of tea, but I'm not opposed to painting one up once in awhile. It's fun to try new things.
DeleteYes, that's looking good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hugh. He's finished now, I'll be taking and posting pictures sometime today.
DeleteNot a fan per se of the Chibi style but lovely painting nonetheless; I find your "earthy" and down to earth colour palette contrast really well with such an exagerated sculpt
ReplyDeleteThanks Iannick. If this hadn't been the competition figure I never would have bought it for myself, but it turned out to be an interesting challenge. I submitted it today and bought next months figure.
DeleteI like the seriousness your scheme lends to the otherwise silly sculpt. Balances it out overall for me far more than I was expecting.
ReplyDeleteGood luck mate, hope you won!
Thanks Dai. My entry is in the largest grouping, Intermediate. There was some nice work displayed, I'll try to get a shot of the cabinet next time I go in.
