Harrod's Lager and Britains figures

Sort of gaming related.

We went down to Harrod's last night and ate there.

It was alright. Oxidized like Heineken.

Later we went up to the toy department.

I thought for sure my son would go for a Britains figure but he was distracted by all the other stuff.

And ever since we passed the Hammersmith stop on the tube I've been humming this.

Thames cruise, Tower of London etc today and Pizza Express to meet up with friends for dinner.

  1. Sadly the best toy soldier shop in London closed in 2012. You can read about it at http://traditionoflondonshop.com/pages.php?page=About_Tradition_of_London It was always a pleasure to visit.

    1. Hi Edwin, that is a bummer. So far we resisted buying more expensive figures at the Tower of London. Maybe our best bet was Harrod's.

    1. Thanks Phil. Yesterday was nice and today was even better. I'll post in the morning what we did, and drank.

  3. I didn't even know that Harrods made beer. Probably wouldn't have been my first choice, apart from the possible novelty value though!

    1. Hi Hugh, what I really wanted was a Real Ale, but I only had a choice of two bottled Lagers at the place and it seemed like I had to choose the Harrod's one for novelty's sake. I was a brewer before moving to Phoenix and prefer Ales, the American expression of lager has turned me off on the style for the most part, unless it's a fresh Pilsner.

But it reminds me how long back my last trip to London is... :-(

    1. Thanks Monty. I probably have you beat, as my last time previous to this was 1979.
