Scale Rulers

I saw this on the bloglist for http://paulsbods.blogspot.com/ which had this post http://colshofer.blogspot.com/2011/07/rule-them-in.html which linked to this http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.com/2011/05/scale-rulers.html

So the upshot is if you want scale rulers buy them from here http://www.rulers-of-the-world.com/index.html

I think I will since I seem to be having some kind of issue with how big to make terrain for 1/72 scale.

  1. That looks like it was a fun trip..from one blog to another :-D
I have never really measured my buildings to scale..the rule of thumb I use is if the door lintel is just abovr head height of a fig for buildings from 1700 onwards then ok..anything before that then just a tiny bit below head height. All medieval, woodenframed and hut type buildings had much lower door lintels and ceilings but more modern victorian etc have higher cielings nad higher door lintels.
The actual width and depth of the walls is up to you, windows tend to have the bottom about waist height and the top in a line with the top of the door.
Basically all you need is a set square for right angles and a pen/pencil to mark our for the doors and windows..
    Cheers

  2. Thanks Paul, I haven't built anything in so long I was unsure of how to go about it. Your suggestions make sense. I need to just start doing, rather than hand wringing.
