Kublacon 2017 - Battle Fleet Gothic

Hi All,

On the aforementioned Friday May 26th we were able to play in a game of Battle Fleet Gothic run by Tim DuPertuis. He had an awesome collection of ships and terrain. My son and I played as one slot, a recurring theme for the weekend, and we were paired with two nice guys who had some familiarity with the game.

In fact my blitz games of Space Fleet with Brian did give me a little bit of a feel for BFG. I only had a few cell phone pics for this battle, but I think they capture the essence of the story. I left them with an arty filter, I think it works for this.

Enjoy!

More comics are in the pipe.

    1. Thanks Foss, it's mostly the program. I haven't totally grokked it, but I've gotten pretty good at it.

  4. Looks like a fun game. Did the imperials have a battleship?

I never made it further with BFG than building up some cruisers (and of course buying a ton of stuff), but it always had appeal.

    1. Thanks Lasgunpacker, it was fun. Tim indicated below what the Imperial flagship was. We each had one especially big tough ship and then several "battleships" and then a few smaller ones.

  6. Great job on the comic format battle report! Even worse than followers of Slaanesh would be followers of Nurgle "into the Imperial rear." And it was very much a Nurgle fleet...

Imperials did have an Emperor battleship, but it took a long time to get into the fray as it had to swing around the large ringed planet in the pics. By the time it arrived, Imperial cruisers were dying.

    1. Thanks Tim, yeah I just like to be silly about Slaanesh. Being able to setup second and move first was a big advantage. We then just mulched each ship in line with the full firepower of the fleet.
