Hi All,
Busy week last week and a ton of stuff to share.
First, if you're going to Oldhammer weekend you need to get some figures together for this:
Forgive the Google Translate French, but it's better than I could do.
Next up, what's on the table for this week:
The mix of Circle of Chaos and Eureka "Beastmen" for my Herohammer Tzeentch Army.
My Dragon Bait Halfling Barbarian. Hopefully he will be appearing in some of the open gaming during Oldhammer Weekend. Oh and those are Shogun Miniatures magnetic bases on the right and under the Barbarian. He threw in a couple with that order of plates and movement trays. I'll be ordering some more.
A size comparison of some recent purchases of Halflings. Left to right: Dark Heaven Legends (Reaper) Halfling farmers, Dragon Bait Halfling Barbarian, Effin Cool Halfling Billman, Pathfinder (Reaper) "Halfling" Illusionist.
(Hmm that last picture looks like I need to clean my lens. As a side note I've begun appreciating the camera on my cellphone a little more since I actually cleaned it. Made a big difference.)
It also looks like my current impulse buys on ebay and the like are coming to an end. Although I did get a part time job at my son's school, my truck ended up needing $1500 worth of repairs.
Not pictured is all the stuff I need to paint for Blood Bowl and Epic looks like it's not going to happen.
Crunch time!
I'll try to post more frequently to keep myself on task.
Oh yeah and new round of t-shirts. Crap. I need to get on it.

Paint Table Saturday 148 - Orc Boar Boyz (commission)
Hi All,
What with all the various things going on I haven't been painting as much as I like. I did finish this unit of 10 Orc Boar Boyz, after the person who sent them to me asked for the back post haste.
I'm fairly happy with how they turned out, but I confirmed without a doubt that I am not cut out to be a commission painter. I held on to these bad boys way too long, almost a year, and my normal angst about color schemes and techniques was magnified for this project. So you all are looking at my first and last commission project.
So I'm trying to get myself together, I know it's a constant battle, and I've been prepping a whole bunch of figures for the Herohammer facebook group and a side thing that I would like to bring to Oldhammer.
Speaking of Oldhammer, it's less than a month away!? I've put out a call for a second order of Oldhammer T-shirts. This run may be slightly more expensive than the last, but no more than $13 per shirt. Of course if you need it mailed to you shipping is a little extra.
Have a great Labor Day weekend.

Some Reaper miniatures I have painted
Hi All,
I posted a collection of figures I have painted over on the Facebook Reaper Miniatures group, but somebody posted more of their own figures to my album. So I am reposting them hereand may delete the album from Facebook if I can't get the person or admins to move them.
EDIT: I ended up deleting the album. Matt, one of the admins, was very helpful but couldn't remove or move them himself. I probably could have waited longer for the person to respond, but I felt that too many people were seeing the album and it sent, in my mind, the wrong message. So sorry for deleting the other persons photos, but I deleted mine as well to be fair. /EDIT
So there you have it. We shall see if I can get anyone to respond. The persons figures are nicely painted, but they are not mine and I feel like they hijacked my folder.

Paint Table Saturday 146 - Boar Boyz and Inks.
Hi All,
Slowly coming out of the lack of mojo. I got this dude finished the other day.
Front.
And Back
These guys have taken me embarrassingly long to work on.
This guy got the mid tone Orc flesh and his shield primed gray. I hope to finish him today. That'll be 4 out of the 10 done.
I bought these inks last weekend and intend to use them on the Tzeentch force I'm painting up.
We brings me to the project list. :(
Finish up Boar Boyz for Don.
Paint 250pts of Chaos for August. I'm already behind on the last two months. In fact I made a chart.

June | July | August | September | October | November | Total
Projected | 250 | 250 | 250 | 250 | 250 | 250 | 1500 |
Actual | 187 | 200 | 387 | ||||
Variance | -63 | -50 | -250 | -250 | -250 | -250 | -1113 |
Lord of Change 700pts | |||||||
Herald on Flaming Chariot 296pts
Centaurs 125pts | |||||||
Beastmen 150pts | |||||||
Beastman Chariot 86pts |
As you can see I took a mulligan for July. A lot of wok to do on this. I'm probably going to do the Greater Demon to catch up on points. We'll see.
Paint those Gretchin I owe Dave B. from the Sci Fi side duel.
Paint the Milkmaids for Curt's entry fee for last years challenge.
Paint any other random figures for Oldhammer Day (Weekend). So round out the Orcs, Blood Bowl team, Man O'War fleet, etc.
I better get cracking.

Oldhammer Comics Compendium
Hi All,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting into the swing of things. Gaming and Painting projects have fallen even farther behind.
I think I have a guest post coming up on Broken Paintbrush tomorrow and I'll try to have the Man O'War battle report comic done soon.
Anyway, here are some links to prior Oldhammer Comic reports to have them all in one place.
Oldhammer USA Weekend - Overview
Oldhammer USA Weekend - Frog Hunt
Oldhammer USA Weekend - Battle of Rusty's Farm
Oldhammer USA Weekend - Battle at the Tower of Ytsur
Oldhammmer USA Weekend - Remember the New Alamo
Brian's Birthday Bash
The Sword of Light and Good
Santa Orka 3
Gotta run!

Santa Orka 3 - The return of the son of the son of Santa Orka
Hi All,
I've been busy trying to get myself back into the swing of things. I was going to do a Paint Table Saturday post, but decided you didn't really need another picture of a messy desk with the same models on it an a bunch of excuses.
So instead I decided to finish up this battle report that I was trying to put out yesterday.
This game was played at Brian's Birthday Bash, after our fantasy battle and lasted until about 2am. We started out with about 6 players and had only two standing at the end. My dice rolling was epically bad. I didn't capture it in the photos, unfortunately, but a Psyker exploding in the very first psychic phase and a hop splat gun bouncing down the line on a squad who had made it on top of the wall were some of the highlights not mentioned.
So pop open a beverage of choice and enjoy (you can right click and open in new tab/window to see them in full bigness).
And on page nine I added some muzzle flashes and an explosion. Let me know what you think. I need to figure out a way to add more effects, but I just wanted to get this one out.
I used a template from Comic Life Three this time. I thought the three panel layout would still work along the lines of the House of Hengist style.
Hopefully more painting progress to report soon.

Unboxing Day - Or what happens when you bid on stuff while on vacation
Hi All,
Not trying to rub it in, but I've been successful in a lot of my bids lately. I only had one thing that went for a low BIN price that I regret not getting. I got greedy I guess.
Nurglings. I think I didn't pay enough attention to the shipping on these. Always make sure their not charging some weird shipping rate. But I'm happy enough to have them. I may bring some of the doubles to trade.
I already have Man O'War and Plague fleet, but I got all three of these for less than people are listing Sea of Blood by itself. Sure it's used and a little dog eared, but it came with a few extras and some interesting organizers for the cards. I may show that off in another post.
Sorry this one is sideways, and sorry for the crap cell phone pictures in general. I tend to waver between DSLR and cell phone, right now I'm just interested in sharing without too much fuss, so cell phone it is. As you may recall Blood Bowl was one of my top regrets in not purchasing back in the day.
Basic Blood Bowl orc team. I won these before I knew about the auction for the boxed game. So I now have two plastic orc teams. Santa Orka 69ers and the Orkland Raiderz.
And lastly a dread that I bid on before buying the exact same one off Dustin at Brian's birthday thing. Oh well, you can never have too many dreads.
I'd also like to welcome Steve to the blog. Your friend connect profile doesn't list a blog. So if you have one or a hobby related site, just let me know. I like to link/follow back when I can.
I better get my chores done so I can paint. Not too much longer until Oldhammer USA Day.
