Kublacon 2018 - Necromunda: Bright Light, Hive City

Hi All,

In this game we got to use the other half of our gang. All of the short range, non leader types. It ended up being a 4 player game. Tim, Ryder, Trevor and Aidan battled it out on the streets of the upper hive while I randomly moved civilians and robots. The cops I moved a little more purposefully.

Anyway, the gist of the scenario was that a guilder had some data that was worth a kings ransom. Each gang had a hacker to help extract the data and do various hackery things to help reduce alarm levels etc.

Running past civs, shooting and various gang like things would raise the alarm level. Once it got to six bad things would happen.

Here's how it unfolded.

So all the gangs failed. In the post mortem it was discussed that the first half was meant to be more stealthy until the data was retrieved, then all hell would break loose and a mad dash to get out would ensue. Most of the players tried the mad dash to get in.

I also want to take the time to say how great the table was that Mario put together. Lovingly detailed MDF buildings with all kinds of eye candy and nods to cool geeky things. It was a feast for the eye before the figures were even added.

It has really tempted me to buy some more building kits, even though my lizard brain tells me I have to scratch build everything.

Hope you enjoyed the comic. Next up is my game against Lasgunpacker.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Wow that looks like a fun one, and to play on that table would be #Winning enough. That terrain is very inspiring. ;)

    1. Hi Airborne, yeah the terrain was fantastic. Mario said he still had a few more things to add. I'm seriously reconsidering my bias against building kits.

    1. Hi Phil, Mario said it was a mix of Warsenal and Zen Terrain for the buildings. Antenocitis for the scatter and random things from ebay.

    1. Thanks Cedric&Jade. I think the idea was to show a more civilized part of the hive and make it harder for the gangers to just run and gun.
